ENOVIA Workspace Page

The ENOVIA Workspace management lets you create and manage ENOVIA workspaces and ENOVIA Projects spaces.

To access this page:

  1. Click 3DEXPERIENCE > Manage Workspace > ENOVIA from the CAD tool.

The location that the ENOVIA workspace opens, depends on the status of the design in the CAD tool and in ENOVIA. The following table lists the actions of ENOVIA workspace manager depending on various design status.

Design Status Action
Active In-session and in ENOVIA Opens the ENOVIA folder connected to the active in-session design.
New design or not connected to ENOVIA folders Opens top level of the ENOVIA database locations.
No active in-session design Opens top level of the ENOVIA database locations.
ENOVIA in-session active design, No Access to Workspace Opens top level of the ENOVIA database locations.
In-session active design, design connected to multiple Workspace folders Opens top level of the ENOVIA database locations.

Columns

Column Description
Name The design name using the file name excluding the file's extension.
Title Title of the object.
Filename The actual filename of the design in the directory.
Alerts If any Alerts apply to the design, an alert is displayed in the Alerts column.
Rev The revision of the design.
Note: Versions of an object in X-CAD Design Management workspaces are not displayed. Only the Revision objects are displayed.
Description A brief description of the design.
State The object's current lifecycle state.
Owner The person who currently owns the design.
Actions The actions you can perform on the object.
Type The object type.

Open the Properties page for the object in a new window.

Actions

Action Description

Promote

Promote the selected object to the next state in the object's lifecycle.
Demote Demote the selected object to the previous state in the object's lifecycle.
EBOM Sync Create an Engineering BOM (EBOM) based on the selected CAD object.
Rename Rename the CAD model.
Note: You should rename the factory components as below;

For example, a Part should be renamed as Part_new and Part-01 should be renamed as Part_new-01.

SaveAs Save a CAD object with a different name.
Purge Permanently delete the CAD objects from the ENOVIA Live Collaboration database.
Baseline Label a particular set of objects.
Delete Selected Delete the selected objects, if you have delete permission. Only Integration documents can be deleted using the Delete Selected option from ENOVIA workspaces.
Lock Lock an unlocked object.
UnLock Unlock an object that you locked.
Checkout Copy the file to your local computer system.
Quick Checkout Check out the selected objects based on your Preference settings. You cannot set any checkout options with this action.

Change Owner

To change the owenrship of the object. You can change the ownership of designs only in pre-released state. Also, you must be the design's current owner or an Integration Administrator to change the ownership.
