About Force Elements

A Modelica library offers classes to extend an engineering connection with force elements such as springs, dampers or bushings. For more information about Modelica library, see Dymola Behavior Modeling: Working with the Classes for Force Elements Browser.

Force elements are accounted for kinematic simulation and playing mechanisms, and are managed in an engineering connection.

To do this, the Engineering Connection Definition dialog box offers a dedicated Force Element tab.

Important: Force elements options are only available for axis-based engineering connections.

The list of available Modelica classes is available in the Force Element list.

For each force element, it is possible to:

  • Edit the force element parameters
  • Delete the force parameter
  • Activate or deactivate the force element.
