The Tree

This section provides information about the tree associated with a mechanism representation.

Tree elementDescription
ProductThe product that contains the geometry and engineering connections for the mechanism.
Mechanism RepresentationThe mechanism appears as a representation under the product; it is possible to have multiple mechanism representations for a single product, each using a different subset of engineering connections.
JointsThe engineering connections enforced in the mechanism.
CommandsThe degrees of freedom that drive the mechanism simulation.
DressupContains rigid engineering connections that fix together the components that belong to the model to the mechanism's components. Rigid engineering connections appear underneath the Dressup node in the tree if they connect a product in the mechanism to a product in the model. In other situations, they appear underneath the Joints node.
AssemblyA collection of mechanisms assembled within a macro mechanism—also referred to as a multilevel mechanism.
