Adding a Bushing

You can add a bushing connection between two components involved in the simulation.

A bushing is always added between two components of the active product.

Before you begin: Open an assembly.

  1. From the Mechanical Systems Design section of the action bar, click Bushing .
    The Connection Property dialog box appears.
  2. Select an axis system in a component as first support.
  3. Select an axis system in another component as second support.
  4. In the Elasticity tab, select forces or moments to be applied and define their values with linear or nonlinear laws.
  5. In the Damping tab, select forces or moments to be applied and define their values with linear or nonlinear laws.
  6. Click OK.
    The Bushing connection is created under the Simulation connections node located under the Engineering Connections node of the active product.
