Camera probes allow you to review specific design areas of your mechanism by
using multiple viewpoints.
You can define a camera probe using the default mode —a
static viewpoint. You can also define and store specific viewpoints in a camera probe to:
focus on the motion of a specific product (tracking camera probe),
mount the camera on a product (mounting camera probe),
mount the camera on a product and focus on the motion of a specific product (tracking and
mounting camera probe).
Let us consider the following example to illustrate the various types of camera probes:
Tracking Camera Probe. Where the camera probe follows a product (a falling ball) from position 1 to position
2. Mounting Camera Probe. Where the camera probe is attached to a product (marked P2), and follows, from position 1 to
position 2, a product (marked P1) moving along a track. Tracking and Mounting Camera Probe. Where the camera probe is attached to a product (marked P2) that moves along a track, and
follows a product (marked P1) from position 1 to position 2.
