Inserting New Objects (Rule Sets, Rules, and Checks) in a Rule Set

You can insert a new rule set, rule or check in a rule set.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Before performing the tasks described in this section, you must have created a rule set.

Insert a New Rule Set

You can insert a new rule set.

  1. From the Quality Rules Capture section, select Insert New Rule Set .
    The RuleSet dialog box opens.
  2. Enter the name of the rule set (and if need be a description) and click OK.

Insert a New Rule

You can insert a new rule.

  1. From the Quality Rules Capture section, select Insert New Rule .
  2. Enter the name of the rule, select the language you want to use from the Language list and click OK.
  3. Select your variables, enter the rule body and click OK.
  4. Select Share > Save > Save with Options to save the created rule.

Insert a New Check

You can insert a new check.

  1. From the Quality Rules Capture section, select Insert New Check .
  2. Enter the name of the check, select the language you want to use from the Language list.
  3. Optional: To create a manual check, check the box Manual Check.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Edit the check and click OK.
  6. SelectShare > Save > Save with Options to save the created check.
