Launching a Check Correction

You can add a correction script to a PLM check to make the invalid objects fulfill the check. The correction method can be written in EKL or in Visual Basic.

Create the Check Correction Script

You must first create the correction script.

  1. From the Compass, click 3D Modeling Apps and select Quality Rules Reuse.
  2. Create the PLM check and click OK.
  3. Right-click the PLM check in the tree and select Manage Healing Function > Create/Edit Healing Function.
  4. Create the correction script.
    1. In the Healing Function dialog box, select one of the options.
      • Visual Basic Language
      • Advise Correction
      • URL
      • Enterprise Knowledge Language
    2. Enter your script in the editor and click OK to validate.

    Notes:
    • You can edit the comment using Edit Properties on the check. If you want to modify the type, delete the function and create another one.
    • In Quality Rules Configuration, the administrator can see if a correction function is attached to the check. He can also see the type of this correction function.

Run the Correction Script

You can then run the correction script.

  1. In the Reports dialog box, right-click the object on which you want to run the script, and select Launch Correction.
    Note: The object on which you want to run the script can be a filed object or a failed check. When working with checks, the healing function is applied to each failed object under this check.
  2. Update your model.
    Checks are fixed.
