You can run multiple rule sets on different objects in batch
mode. This batch enables you to solve rule sets, generate the report if a check
is defined in the rule set, update the features if modified, and save the
objects.
Note:
You can run the KnowledgeExpertReport batch on all objects.
Before you begin: You must have created a PLM rule set containing a check.
From the
Tools section, select
Utility
.
From the list, double-click
KnowledgeExpertReport.
Click
Object Search
.
In the
Object Search dialog box, enter your search
parameters and click
OK.
Select your object.
Optional: Select a variant from the list in the
Variant Management frame.
Note:
An object can have different configurations created using
Variant Management.
Selecting a variant lets you check your products with different configurations.
For more information, see Installation and Setup: Administrate: Social
and Collaborative: Product Portfolio Planning: Variant Management.
Click
Add rule set
in the
Rule Sets frame.
In the
Select Rule Set, enter the rule set name and
click
Search.
Select a rule set from the list and click
OK.
Optional: if you want to generate only one report for
all inputs, check
One Report.
Select the output file type.
Notes:
You can select
xml or
html to generate the report. Depending
on your selection, the report is generated in a subdirectory located in the
directory path defined in the
Me > Preferences > 3D
Modeling > Multi Discipline Automated Engineering > Quality Rules
Reuse > Report Generation > Output
directory tab. This subdirectory is generated each
time the
CATBatchStarter utility is run.
All inputs are loaded and the solve operation is launched on
the first item of the list only.
Click
Save to save the file.
Notes:
In the
Report box, you can change the target
directory. This report is not the report related to the rule sets. The batch
infrastructure generates this report to show the status of the batch. Likewise,
the
Report Name is the name of the report
generated by the batch infrastructure in html format.
You can now generate only one report for all inputs checking
One Report.
