Using B.I. Essentials in Component Family Definition

You can use B.I. Essentials to reveal attributes of the objects in your session. Color codes corresponding to the different values of an attribute are applied to the objects.

  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, select B.I. Essentials .
    The following B.I. enables you to reveal attributes specific to the Component Family Definition app:
    • Component Family
  2. From the list, select this B.I.
    A color is applied to the object in the 3D area depending on the object status (updated or not). You can also visualize the characteristics of the object.
    • Green: The family component is updated.
    • Orange: A modification of the component is available.
    • Red: A new revision of the component exists but is not generated. to generate it and replace the existing component.
    Notes:
    • If you double-click an item in the catalog browser, the previous family item is replaced.
    • If the item is blue, it is not updated: a new modification of the generic model has been applied to the family, but the element has not been updated yet. Click Update to generate the element (Batch): The element is directly updated.
