Adding a Parameter to an Edge

You can add parameters to edges, faces and vertices using the Parameters Explorer.

Before you begin: You must have created a geometry that contains edges, faces or a vertex.
  1. Select an edge, a face or a vertex.
  2. In the Parameters Explorer, from the New Parameter of type list, select a type, and click New parameter of type.
    Note: If a parameter is set to a value inside [-1e-6mm , 1e-6mm], it is automatically set to 0mm.
  3. In the Local Name box, type the name of the parameter and click OK.
    A new Extract feature is created and the parameter you created is added to this feature.
    Important: Parameters added using the Parameters Explorer are displayed under the feature they are assigned to.
