Modifying the Scope of an Extension

You can modify the scope of an extension to specify the type the extension is applied to.

The scope of the extension comprises the extendable types you created and that are part of the same package as the extension or part of another package.

Before you begin: You must have created an extension.

  1. In the Extensions tab, click the Scopes tab.
  2. Click Modify Scopes .
  3. In the Types List window, check the check box next to the type name extended by the extension, and click Submit.
    Notes:
    • Name indicates the type name.
    • Owner Package indicates the name of the package containing the type.
    • Deployed shows the deployment status of the type (yes, no, or partial).
    • Comment displays the comment if any.
