Downloading your CATNls Files

You can add translations to your extensions and attributes. Translations for types, extensions and attributes can be localized. The translations are stored in emxFrameworkStringResource.properties files. For more information about these files, see Installation and Administration: Social and Collaborative: Collaborative Servers: Live Collaboration - Administration: Business Process Services: Internationalizing Business Process Services Products.

  1. Edit your .properties files. To do so, access the emxFrameworkStringResource.properties file on your application server and edit it. In our example, add the following lines to your file emxFramework.Type.expMyWall=Load-Bearing Wall and emxFramework.Attribute.expThickness=Wall thickness:
  2. Save your file and restart your server.
  3. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps , Data Model Customization, and select Download CATNls.
  4. Check the languages for which you want to generate a CATNls file, English in our example.
  5. Click Download .
    A dialog box appears asking you if you want to open or save the zip file containing the CATNls files.
  6. Click Save to save the file in the directory referenced by the CATMsgCatalogPath variable of your runtime view.
  7. Unzip your files and restart the application server
  8. Select Add > Content.
  9. Navigate to the Product node and expand it.
  10. Click Load-Bearing Wall in the list.
    The Load-Bearing Wall dialog box appears showing the attribute you created and the attributed value.
    Note: The created type and its attribute are also displayed when performing and Advanced Search.
