Adding a Parameter

You can add parameters to an expert check. Adding a parameter to a check lets you reuse checks in different contexts without modifying the check body.

  1. Double-click the check in the tree or, if the check is already open, click the Parameters tab.
  2. Click Add Parameter.
    The parameter dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the parameter title in the Parameter tab and click the Select PLM Parameter Type tab.
  4. Define your parameter.
    1. Double-click Add new argument and enter the parameter name.
    2. Click in Type column and select the parameter type from the list.
    3. Enter its value in the Value box.
    4. Select Minimum Value or Maximum Value if you want to apply bounds to your parameter.
    5. Select Included if you want the bounds to be included or excluded.
    6. Select Add Multi-values if you want your parameter to have more than one possible value.
    7. Select Add authorized values if you want to limit the possible values for your parameter.
  5. The parameter is created.
