Customizing Preferences

You can customize the preferences for the IP Classification Editor Dashboard.

  1. From the upper-right corner of the dashboard, click Preferences.
  2. In the Edit Preferences page, modify the preferences, as required.

    Credentials

    Credentials are used in a widget to apply rules and visibility on the data. They also determine the location of new objects. You can choose from the available credentials.
    3DEXPERIENCE Platform Choose the context for your access to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
    Note: This preference is available only on the cloud.
    Use Index

    Select this check box to get the information about the content directly from the index.

    By default, this check box is selected. Clear this check box to have the dashboard content fully based on 3DEXPERIENCE data.

    The index increases response times, but recent updates may not be indexed, in which case accessing the data directly from 3DEXPERIENCE gives you the latest information.

    Important: If content is modified, then the dashboard switches to database mode to get the last modifications.
    Auto switch from Authoring mode to Index mode After a user creates or updates their data, the index acceleration is disabled to reflect the user’s latest changes (performance decreases). This field controls the duration between the user’s most recent updates in the app and when the app resumes using the index, accelerating the performance of the application.

  3. Click Save.
