You can delete general class. The deleted general classes are deleted from database. General classes can be deleted only if they are empty (no objects attached to them).

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader
  • App-specific: Librarian

  1. From the Classes page, select the required general class.
  2. From the Actions menu, click Delete.
  3. Click OK.
The selected general class is deleted from database.
    Notes:
    • When you delete a general class containing objects, a message appears notifying that the selected object cannot be deleted, as the object has container objects (or) may not have delete permissions. You have to remove the objects from the class, and delete.
    • When you delete a general class containing objects in other apps like Collaborative Lifecycle Management, a message appears notifying that the selected object cannot be deleted, as the object has container objects (or) may not have delete permissions. You have to remove the objects from the class in the IP Classification app, and then delete in Collaborative Lifecycle Management app.
