Deleting Part Libraries

You can delete part libraries. The deleted part libraries are deleted from the database. Part libraries can be deleted only if they are empty (no objects attached to them).

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader
  • App-specific: Librarian

  1. From the home page, select part libraries.
  2. From the actions menu, click Delete.
  3. Click OK.

The selected part libraries are deleted from the database.

Notes:
  • When you delete a part library containing objects, a message appears notifying that the selected object cannot be deleted, as the object has container objects (or) may not have delete permissions. You have to remove the objects from the part library, and delete.
  • When you delete a part library containing objects in other apps like Collaborative Lifecycle Management, a message appears notifying that the selected object cannot be deleted, as the object has container objects (or) may not have delete permissions. You have to remove the objects from the part library in the IP Classification app, and then delete in the Collaborative Lifecycle Management app.
