About Copying Elements to Another Story

With the Copy to Story command, you can copy building elements from one story elevation to the other.

You can copy to another story elevation these building elements:

  • Spaces
  • Slabs (which you add with the Slab command)
  • Walls (which you add with the Wall command)
  • Slab Openings
  • Pits
  • Column reservations
  • Building Components
  • Ceilings
  • Floorings
  • Stairs
    • Straight
    • Circular
    • Spiral
  • Stairwells

Note: You can copy ceilings and floorings that were created using a profile. To copy ceilings or floorings that were created using a space, copy the hosting space.

The capability to copy building elements from one story elevation to another means that you can fully populate a single story and then copy the elements to the next story. This capability can save time. For example, if you place 50 workstations on story 1, you can duplicate in seconds the layout by copying all 50 to story 2.

The Copy to Story function also features a Delete Source check box. When you select the check box, the system deletes the source elements. For example, you can move building elements from story 1 to story 5 with one simple procedure.
