Space properties include parameters such as
Planned Area,
Space Normal Height, and
Space Gross Ceiling Area. They also include five
properties, which you can change:
- Department
is the department owning the space. Space requirements
spreadsheets often include a
Department column. Examples of departments are
Management, Sales, Support, and Human Resources.
- Sub-Department is the sub-department owning
the space. Sub-departments are always part of a department. Space Requirements
spreadsheets often include a
Sub-Department column. Examples of
sub-departments are vice presidents, directors, managers, and staff.
- Type is the function of the space. Examples of
Type include office, workstation, conference
room, and copy room. In a space requirements spreadsheet,
Type is in the
Space Type column.
- Name is the space name associated with the
space. Examples of
Name are CEO office, and manager office.
Name is not included in a space requirements
spreadsheet.
- ID is the unique ID associated with the space.
ID is not included in a space requirements
spreadsheet.
You can change
Type,
Department, or
Sub-Department for any space by editing
Space Properties for the space. For spaces that
you create, you can use
Space Properties
to edit the assigned name. If you previously imported a space
requirements spreadsheet with
Department and
Sub-Department columns, you can also assign the
space a
Department and
Sub-Department from the list in the
Space Properties dialog box.
