Slab Options

The Slab dialog box provides options to create a horizontal slab that is in addition to the primary slab created automatically for each story.

To access the Slab dialog box, from the Building section of the action bar, click Slab.

Interior

These options determine the slab location relative to the building.

Added

Creates the slab both interior and exterior to the building.
Interior

Creates the slab interior to the building.
Exterior

Creates the slab exterior to the building.

Down These options determine the direction of the slab thickness relative to the reference plane. The options are only available in the dialog box when there is an active sketch for the slab.

Down Slab thickness projects downward.
Up

Slab thickness projects upward.
Both

Slab thickness projects half upward and half downward.

Profile

Indicates which sketch you are converting to a slab.
