From the Building section of the action bar, click Component by Points
.

In the
Insert Component dialog box, select one of the
following:
- Openings
- Doors
- Windows
- Office
- Bathroom
- Bedroom
- Kitchen
- Lighting
- Living
- Furniture
- Equipment
- 2D People
- 2D Tree

To insert wall-hosted components like openings, doors, and
windows:

In the
Component by Points dialog box, click
Face

In the
3D area,
select a building face that hosts the building component.

In the
Component by Points dialog box, click
Placement Points
.

In the
3D area,
select one or more points to place the component.

To insert floor-hosted components:
-
In the
Component by Points dialog box, click
Placement Points
.

In the
3D area,
select one or more points to place the component.

In the
Component by Points dialog box, click
Curve
.

In the
3D area,
select a curve that orients the direction of the building component.

In the
Component by Points dialog box, in
Rotation Angle, enter the rotation angle
of the building component.
Note:
You can place floor-hosted components on ramps, landings, planes, and
other quasi-horizontal surfaces. You can also place floor-hosted components
outside the building mass.

To search and select a component from a Collaborative Space, click
Search Component
,
select the component, and double click to place it.
Notes:
- When you click Search Component , it searches
for the components in a collaborative space named CCT Components
Library, if it exists. To avoid unwanted matches with duplicates of
components already inserted in buildings, create a collaborative
space named CCT Components Library.
- Import the building components into CCT Components Library using
Import Building Components
.
- You can also search the components from the general search box. In
this case, all the collaborative spaces accessible to you are
searched.
- You can refine the search results using 6W tags, bookmarks, and
stored queries.

In the
Component by Points, dialog box, click
Show Parameters
and edit the values.
Each type of building component has a unique list of parameters. You
can edit the parameters according to your preference.

Click
.
The system creates the building component at the points in the 3D area.
