Copying Elements to Another Story

You can copy spaces, slabs, walls, slab openings, pits, column reservations, building components, ceilings, floorings, stairs, and stairwells from one story elevation to another.

  1. In the tree or 3D area, click any of the following features you want to copy:
    • Space
    • Slab
    • Wall
    • Slab Opening
    • Pit
    • Column Reservation
    • Floor-hosted or Wall-hosted Building Component
    • Shell and Core components
    • Ceiling
    • Flooring
    • Stairs
    • Stairwells

    Ctrl + click to select more than one element.

    Note: To copy ceilings or floorings that were created using a space, in the tree, select the input space.

  2. From the context toolbar, click Copy to Story .
  3. From the Copy to Story dialog box, click Select Story.
  4. In the tree, select the story elevation where you want to place the copied elements.
  5. To delete the elements from the source story, from the Copy to Story dialog box, select the Delete Source check box.
  6. Click .

The system copies the selected elements from the source story elevation to the selected story elevation. When you select Delete Source, the system simultaneously deletes the elements from the original source story.
