Replacing Features

You can replace the inputs to building features with other inputs.

Before you begin:
  • Create a building feature using an existing input feature.
  • Create replacement input feature.
  1. From the tree, right-click the input feature that you want to replace.
    For example, if you want to replace the input sketch to a wall feature, under Wall.1, right-click Sketch.1.
  2. From the contextual menu, click Replace...
  3. In the Replace dialog box, in With, select the replacement input feature.
    For example, select Sketch.2.
  4. To delete the replaced feature, set the Delete replaced elements and exclusive parents checkbox.
  5. Click OK.

The system replaces the input feature with the selected input feature and updates the building feature.
