Using Multiple Edit

You can select multiple building components or features of the same type and edit all of them through a single dialog box.


Before you begin: Add multiple features or building components of the same type to your building model.
  1. From the 3D area or tree, select multiple building components or features of the same type.

    You can use multiple edit for the following features:

    • Mass
    • Space
    • Shaft
    • Elevators
    • Wall
    • Slab
    • Pit
    • Column Reservation
    • Ceiling
    • Flooring
    • Panel Wall

    Note: The system displays the Edit Multiple.. option for panel walls only when the selected panel walls are of the same type.

  2. From the context toolbars, click Edit Multiple...
    The Edit.. dialog box displays a list of common values between the selected features or building components.
  3. In the Edit.. dialog box, select from the list of existing values under the Varies list.

    For example, select two spaces, one with height 2800mm and another with height 3000mm. In the Edit.. dialog box, the Height field displays the value Varies. Under the Varies list, the system displays the existing values of 2800mm and 3000mm.

    Tip: To enter a value different from the existing ones, select a value under Varies. Then edit the value in the edit box.

  4. Click .

The system edits all the selected features or building components using the selected value.
