Assembling the Slit Lamp Using Constraints

In this step, you will use constraints to align and then assemble the illumination system, microscope and base around a common centre of rotation.

  1. To align the various parts around a common centre of rotation, select the illumination system shaft.

    This is the swivel axis.

  2. In the context toolbar, click Select, then click Coincidence .
  3. Select the corresponding axis of rotation, base-side.
  4. To assemble parts, create a Contact constraint between the bottom face of the microscope arm and the top face of the base.
