About 2D Review

You can display markup, and annotate drawings, layouts, sheets, or 2D documents using the Design Review capabilities in Universal Scene Editor.

Universal Scene Editor

You can quickly open a drawing, a layout, or a sheet in the lighter mode using Universal Scene Editor.

Using the 2D review capability, Universal Scene Editor allows you to quickly display and markup the 2D drawings without opening the drawings. In the Universal Scene Editor you can also create a slide of specific sheet, create 2D markers and measure the distances. The Universal Scene Editor provides you with following interface to display, markup and annotate the content of the 2D drawings:

  • The drawing is displayed in the lighter mode.
  • The tree consisting of drawing view is available at the upper-left corner of the editor by pressing F3.
  • The action bar provides you with Review section.
Note: The Universal Scene Editor can load V6 drawing (drafting loaded in Light Mode), layout (Light Mode), sheet (Light Mode), and 2D documents (.cgm, .jpg, .tif, etc). To load 2D documents, you must select the Automatic display 2D documents check box available at Me > Preferences > Infrastructure > Universal Finder > Explore > 2D Documents area.

2D Review Interface

The 2D Review interface consists of different tabs to store the reviews and slides.

The Design Review app provides the following interface in the Universal Scene Editor:

  • The Review tab displays the review thumbnails performed on the drawing.
  • The Slide tab displays the slides corresponding to the reviews. The tab is displayed only if slides exists in the markup.
  • If a document contains several sheets, a combo menu is provided at the top of the tab page to filter:
    • Display all slides of current markup
    • Display slides on the current sheet
