Defining a Context

You can define one or several contexts depending on settings for your review using different methods.

This task shows you how to:

Define a Context from Search

You can define a context for your review from search results.

  1. From the Review section of the action bar, click Define Context .
    The Define Context dialog box appears.
  2. Enter a search criterion and click Search.
    The search results are displayed.
  3. Select a context from the search results and click OK.
    The context is created.
    Notes:
    • If the selected context is not already referenced by a review, it is added as another context.
    • If the selected context is already referenced by the review, it is removed from the context list.
    Tip: Select the Do not load automatically the context option and define the context. When you open the review:
    • The root context node is displayed in the tree. The 3DShape context, available under the root context, is automatically displayed in the tree and 3D area.
    • To display the whole product (including 3D parts and 3D sub-products available under the product) in the 3D area, right-click the root context node in the tree and select Load Context.

Define a Context from Session by Selecting Data

You can define a review context by selecting data from your session.

  1. In a first authoring window, establish a product context.
  2. In a second authoring window, open the review for which you want to define a context.
  3. Click Define Context .
    The Define Context dialog box appears.
  4. Select the From Session tab and click Select.
  5. In the first authoring window, select the node of the product or the image you want to designate as the context of the review.
    The product or image is added in the Define Context dialog box.
  6. In the Define Context dialog box, click OK to confirm.
    The context is defined in the review.
    Notes:
    • If the selected context is not already referenced by a review, it is added as another context.
    • If the selected context is already referenced by the review, it is removed from the context list.
    Important: Only the product or image context of selected objects will be included in the context. (The 3D representations will not be included in the context.)

Define a Context from Session by Retrieving Loaded Data

You can define a review context by retrieving loaded data from your session.

  1. In a first Authoring window, establish a product or an image context.
  2. In a second Authoring window, open the review for which you want to define a context.
  3. Click Define Context .
    The Define Context dialog box appears.
  4. Click the From Session tab and click Retrieve Loaded Data.

    The data loaded in session is added in the Define Context dialog box.

  5. Select one of the products or images and click OK to confirm.

    The selected product or image becomes the review context.

    Notes:
    • If the selected context is not already referenced by a review, it is added as another context.
    • If the selected context is already referenced by the review, it is removed from the context list.
