Creating a Conditional Questionnaire

Users with the appropriate role in an app can define a conditional questionnaire for a template. The questions (conditions) determine whether related objects are automatically added when new objects that have a specific attribute value are created from the template.

Change Administrators can create a conditional questionnaire that automatically adds approval routes, member lists (multiple approvers), or people (individual approvers) to change orders created from the change template or change requests associated with the change template if the attribute value in the change order or change requests matches the attribute value selected for the condition in the questionnaire.

Note: A Business Administrator must enable conditional questionnaires to make them available in the app.

Before you begin: Do the following before creating a conditional questionnaire:
  • Create and activate all related objects to be assigned to attribute values. For example, to automatically add a member list to a change order or change request with a specific attribute value, the member list must already exist and be in the Active state.
  • View the Conditional Questionnaire page for the template.
  1. In the page toolbar, click Add Conditional Questions.
  2. Select the attributes (conditions) whose specific values will be assigned to related objects.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Assign related objects to specific attribute values by doing the following for each attribute (condition):
    1. Select a condition (attribute).
    2. Select Actions > Related > Assign.
The Search Refinements page opens and restricts your search to the types of related objects that can be assigned to conditions (attributes).
    3. Enter your search criteria, then select the all of the related objects that you want to assign to the attribute value.
    4. In the Parent Response column for each selected related object, select the attribute value that you want to assign to the related object.
    5. Click Submit.
