IC Document Lifecycle

The IC lifecycles synchronize the document states between Project Management and DesignSync. If a document is promoted manually in Project Management, its new state is shown on the DesignSync server in the file that is associated with a Program Central deliverable (that is, an IC Document or IC Folder). Likewise, if a document is tagged in DesignSync, its new state is shown in the Program Central Lifecycles page, unless the file tag is not one of the listed states. Also in Program Central, if the deliverable has reached the Completion state (or beyond) that was specified when it was created, the parent task of the deliverable is promoted automatically.

The IC Document contains a file that documents a block or chip.

An IC Document is created in the Preliminary state and passes through these lifecycle states.
