Indication Lifecycle

The Indication policy controls whether an indication for a product is active or inactive. An indication defines the symptoms or health issue that a product is designed to treat.

Inactive

New indications are created in the Inactive state. The owner, Regulatory Lead, or Regulatory Administrator must promote the indication to the Active state before it can be used.

Active

The indication is available to be used. The Regulatory Lead or Regulatory Administrator can demote the indication to the Inactive state when it is no longer needed.
