Inquiry Lifecycle

The lifecycle of an inquiry consists four states. Depending on the inquiry state and your role and access permissions, you can perform multiple actions.

Create

In this state, you can add or remove product models, contacts, assignees, discussions, and reference documents. You can also modify, invalidate, and convert inquiries.

In Process

In addition to actions that you can perform in the create state, quality managers and complaint investigators can modify and complete investigations, and close inquiries.

Closed

In this state, a quality manager can reopen a closed inquiry.

Invalid

In this state, you can only view the details of an inquiry.
