POA Lifecycle

A Piece of Art (POA) is a collection of artwork elements such as copy text and graphics for a product.

Draft

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can modify the POA and remove artwork elements from the POA.

Preliminary

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can move the POA to the Obsolete state, move the POA to a different artwork package that is in the same state as the current artwork package, associate the POA with an artwork template, and assign a supplier to the POA. In his state, tasks are created for the Graphic Designer to upload the artwork files. When the connected artwork package is in the Work in Process state and all associated artwork elements are in the Release state, the POA is promoted to the Artwork in Process state.

Artwork In Process

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can copy the POA and move the POA to a different artwork package that is in the same state as the current artwork package. When the Graphic Designer checks in the artwork file, the POA is promoted to the Review state automatically.

Review

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can copy the POA and move the POA to a different artwork package that is in the same state as the current artwork package. If the Artwork Approver approves the artwork file checked in by the Graphic Designer, the POA is moved to the Release state. If the Artwork Approver rejects it, the POA is moved to the Artwork In Process state.

Approved

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can copy the POA and move the POA to a different artwork package that is in the same state as the current artwork package.

Release

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can copy the POA and create an evolution of the POA.

Obsolete

In this state, a Product Manager or an Artwork Package Manager can copy the POA and create an evolution of the POA.
