Regulatory Submission Type Lifecycle

A regulatory submission type represents the procedure followed to obtain market authorization. The regulatory submission type, along with the regulatory category and regulatory authority, define the regulatory context for a submission project.

The Regulatory Submission Type lifecycle includes these states:

Note: Regulatory submission types created prior to 3DEXPERIENCER2014xAD had a single state: Exists. Those submission types will be Inactive after installing a new software version.

Active

The Regulatory Administrator creates the regulatory submission type in the Active state.

Inactive

The Regulatory Administrator can demote the regulatory submission type to the Inactive state. It cannot be demoted to the Inactive state if it is used in any regulatory context. An inactive regulatory submission type cannot be used.
