Security Class Authority Lifecycle

The Security Class Authority policy controls whether a security class authority is active or inactive.

Inactive

The Security Class Authority is created in the Inactive state by the Administrator, Leader, Owner, or Export Control. The Leader, Owner, Export Control, or the owner can promote the authority to the Active state.

Active

The Security Class Authority is available to be used. The Leader, Owner, Export Control, or the owner can promote the authority to the Archived state when it is no longer being used.

Archived

Activity is complete and the security class authority is no longer available.
