Supplier Equivalent Lifecycle

A Component Author can create a Supplier Equivalent Part and process it through its lifecycle.

Preliminary

The Supplier Equivalent Part (SEP) is created in the Preliminary state. The SEP can be associated with a Manufacturer Equivalent Part (MEP) or an enterprise Part. The Component Author adds any details, including reference documents to the SEP. When ready, the Component Author promotes the SEP to the Review state.

Review

In this state, the Component Author reviews all details about the SEP, and if appropriate, promotes it to the Approved state.

Approved

The SEP is approved and when ready, can be promoted to the Release state.

Release

The SEP is released and can be connected to enterprise Parts.

Obsolete

The SEP is obsolete and cannot be used.
