Browsing, Organizing, and Editing Views: View Browser

You can navigate between the views in your layout with the Views panel of the view browser and organize them.

Views is a panel representation in your layout which shows all the views with details or as thumbnails. The number of views in your layout are mentioned next to the title of the panel.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • From the View section of the action bar, click View Browser . The Views panel appears in the work area. Click again to hide it. By default, the panel is activated.
  • To view the panel, create and activate a design layout with at least one view.

Browse Views

You can browse and navigate between all the views and access their context toolbar.

  1. In the Views panel, you can display the views in your layout in different formats:
    1. Click to display in thumbnails view.
    2. Click to display in details view.
  2. Hover over a thumbnail.
    The scale and the filter (if applicable) appear in a tooltip.
  3. Select a thumbnail or a details view item in the panel.
    The Display View command is executed and the corresponding view is displayed in the work area. The color of the thumbnail and the icon is changed to purple.
    • The corresponding view is selected in the work area.
    • A context toolbar appears to apply the View Background Manipulation command on the selected view.
