Instantiating a 2D Component

Instantiate 2D Component lets you reuse a 2D component.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape representation containing a layout.
  1. Activate the view in which you want to instantiate the 2D component.
  2. Click Instantiate 2D Component .
  3. In the tree, click the 2D component under the detail sheet.
  4. Position the component using SmartPick in the layout.
  5. Select Link with detail .
  6. Click the view.
