Creating Arc Dimensions

You can create an angle dimension for a circular arc geometry.


Before you begin:
  • By default, Arc dimension is not available in any of the action bar sections. To make it available, you need to customize the action bar. For more information, see Customizing an Action Bar by Adding Commands.
  • Open a drawing containing arcs or angular segments.
  1. From the Annotation section of the action bar click Dimensions .
  2. Select an arc.

    By default, the diameter center type dimension is created on the arc.

  3. Right-click the dimension and select Angle.
  4. Place the dimension at the required location.
  5. Optional: To move the dimension to a new sector:
    1. Right-click the angle dimension and select Angle Sector.
    2. Select an angle sector.

      You can also select Complementary angle sector.

  6. Optional: To drive the dimension on a 2D arc geometry, right-click the dimension and select Properties. In the Value tab, select the Driving check box.
