About Managing 3D Visualization

Using the 3D visualizations commands, you can manage the visualization of the views in 3D. It also explains how a view, a section view/cut and its sub-views, or a multi-plane section view can be displayed in 3D.

Display View in 3D

You can visualize a layout view in the 3D window as it is displayed in the 2D layout (2DL).

Right-click the view and select 3D Visualization > Display View in 3D.

This command supports the following properties: 3D clippings, breakout, sectioning, filtering of a layout view, and uncut property for section views.

To remove the applied visualization filters and sectioning, click the immersive button at the upper-right corner of the 3D area.

Hide in 3D/Show in 3D

You can hide all the 2DL elements while visualizing the view in 3D window.

For better visualization, right-click the view and select 3D Visualization > Display View in 3D.

Then select 3D Visualization > Hide in 3D.

You can toggle between the Hide in 3D and Show in 3D commands.

Display View Plane/Profile in 3D

You can now view all the view or sub-view planes in 3D according to the profile of 2DL section view.

Right-click the view and select 3D Visualization > Display View Plane/Profile in 3D.
