Hazard Snapshots

You can view hazard snapshots while performing hazard control on a product.

To access hazard snapshots:

  1. On the Products page, select a product.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Design History File.
  3. Click the Hazard Control tab.
  4. Click the Snapshots tab.

Fields

Field Name Description
Name The name of the hazard snapshot.
TitleThe title of the snapshot.
Type The type of object, which is Snapshot.
Rev The snapshot revision.
StateThe lifecycle state of the snapshot.
OriginatedThe date on which the object originated.
DescriptionThe description of the snapshot.
OwnerThe owner of the snapshot.

Action/Toolbar Commands

Toolbar Commands Description
Generate Snapshot Generates a snapshot of the hazard under a product. See Generating a Snapshot. Available to a Project Member with Project Lead access or a user with the Product Manager role.

A snapshot will include all related hazards and any Requirements/DOCUMENTS associated with the hazard.

Delete Deletes one or more selected snapshots; Click OK to confirm the deletion. Only the owner of a snapshot can delete it.
Compare Compares the selected snapshot to another snapshot you will select after you click the Compare icon. The comparison includes Requirements/DOCUMENTS objects. See Snapshot Compare Criteria.
Enable Edit Lets you inline edit the title and description fields for a hazard snapshot. Only the owner of a snapshot can edit it.
