Contacts Page

The Contacts page list the people defined as contacts for an item (such as a submission or a complaint).

For Market Registration, contacts are people from other companies or agencies who are associated with submissions. You must have the Regulatory Administrator or Regulatory Lead role to create contacts. The Contacts page also shows as a page tab on the Market Registration home page.

For Quality-based Document Control, contacts are people from outside your company who can receive controlled prints of released controlled documents.

Important: This app stores personal data in some settings. To follow good personal data management practices, Business Administrators might need to edit these settings to remove personal data, such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

To view the list of all contacts available:

  1. Click Home .
  2. In the navigation pane, click Contacts.

To view the list of contacts for a submission:

  1. Open the submission.
  2. In the navigation pane, click People.
  3. Click the Contacts page tab.

To view the list of contacts for a complaint:

  1. Open the complaint.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Contacts.

To view the list of contacts for a device identification:

  1. Open the device identification.
  2. Click the Contacts page tab.

To view the list of contacts for a Non-Conformance:

  1. Open the Nonconformance.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Collaboration.
  3. Click the Contacts page tab.

Columns

Column NameDescription
First NameThe person's first name.
Middle NameThe person's middle name.
Last NameThe person's last name.
SalutationThe formal salutation when addressing the contact.
TitleThe person's job title.
Business/AgencyThe company or regulatory authority where this person works.
Contact TypeOne of these types of contacts:

  • Company Representative
  • Consumer
  • Customer
  • Distributor
  • Manufacturer
  • Reporter
  • User Facility
  • Authorized Representative
  • Importer

Outsourcing Facility The facility where the outsourced work is done.
Contact ID The type of the object. You can add only once the contact type as Manufacturer to the DI.
OccupationThe person's job function:

  • Technician/Representative

Email AddressThe person's email address.
Phone NumbersMobileThe person's cell phone number.
HomeThe person's home number.
WorkThe person's office number.
FaxThe person's fax machine number.

Address Line 2Additional address information.
CityThe address city.
StateThe address state.
CountryThe address country.
ZipThe address ZIP or other postal code.

Delete Deletes the selected contact. Click OK to confirm. The contact must be Inactive to delete it.-
Add Existing

Only shows if you have Market Registration installed. Only shows on the list of contacts for a specific item.

Adds an existing person as a contact for the submission or complaint.

For a submission project, the contact must already exist. You cannot add contacts to a canceled submission, but you can add contacts to an inactive (on hold) submission.

Insert New Row Adds a new row so that you can create a contact using inline editing.

You must be a Regulator Administrator, Regulatory Lead, or Document Center Administrator to create a contact.

Editing Contacts
Remove Selected Removes the selected contact from the list. You must enable editing before this action is available.-
Enable Edit Toggles into Edit mode. In Edit mode, you can add new contacts and edit any details for existing contacts.Editing Contacts
Disable Edit Toggles into View mode. All information is read-only in View mode.-
