Editing a PLM Ambience

You can customize some parameters for PLM ambiences, and you can modify the ambience reference for PLM ambiences.

This task shows you how to:

Edit a PLM Ambience from the Ambience Editor

You can locally override a PLM ambience in Live Rendering, and create a new product ambience.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the Product Ambiences panel, drag a PLM ambience image to the work area, or double-click it. PLM ambiences are identified by the symbol.
    • From the Live Rendering section of the action bar, click Insert Ambience as Reference .
  2. In the General tab, the preview area displays in real time the customization of the background and lights.
  3. Modify the appropriate properties in the General and Ground tabs.
  4. Click Save as new to product.

Edit the Ambience Reference of a PLM Ambience

You can edit the reference of a PLM ambience through Ambience Studio.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • In the Product Ambiences panel, right-click a PLM ambience image, and then select Edit Source.
    • At the bottom of the ambience panel, click Edit Source.
    • Click at the top of the General tab.
    • Double-click the PLM ambience in the tree.
    Ambience Studio opens to let you edit the ambience reference.
  2. Make the required changes.
  3. To go back to Live Rendering, click Exit App from the Ambience Studio section of the action bar.
