Inserting an Ambience as a Reference

You can insert an ambience as a reference in the 3D area. This ambience is based on the PLM ambience data model.

  1. Optional: In the Search box, search for the ambience you want to insert.
    Tip: You can use the amb predefined query.

    The ambience is displayed in the search results.

  2. From the search results, click the ambience you want to import.
    The imported ambience is displayed in the 3D area.
  3. From the Live Rendering section of the action bar, click Manage Ambience .
    A new image thumbnail is created in the Product Ambiences panel with the symbol to indicate that it is a PLM ambience.
  4. In the ambience editor panel, edit the new ambience with your own parameters.
  5. Click Save as new to product.
  6. To edit the ambience reference, click Edit Source.
