Reordering Decals

You can change the application order of decals.

Before you begin: At least two overlapping decals must be applied on the same geometry.

  1. In the 3D area, right-click the geometry onto which decals are applied, and then select Reorder Decals.
  2. In the Decal Reordering dialog box, use the Support list to choose the support onto which the decals to reorder are applied.
  3. Select a decal in the Decal Name column, then click the appropriate command.

    Command Description
    Moves the selected decal up in the hierarchy.
    Moves the selected decal down in the hierarchy.
    Lets you edit the selected decal through the Decal Appearance Domain dialog box.

  4. Click OK.

Decals are updated in the 3D area to reflect order and appearance changes.

Before Reordering. Decal1 is displayed on top of Decal2.

After Reordering. Decal2 is displayed on top of Decal1.
