Saving the Environment Reflection

You can automatically generate an environment image to use for reflection purposes.

  1. In the tree, right-click the environment and then select Save Reflection....
The map of the environment you created is displayed in the previsualization window of the Environment Image Generator dialog box.

This previsualization is automatically updated whenever you modify the point of view.

  2. In the Environment Image Generator dialog box, use the Image Size list to choose a size for your environment image.
  3. In the Save As box:
    • enter the name and path of the generated image
    • click Browse Directories to open the File Selection dialog box that lets you browse your filetree to the required location.
  4. Click OK.

This image can be reused as many times as you want.

As this image is going to be used for reflection purpose only, you cannot visualize environment reflections on your object. To do so, define the Reflectivity parameter to a nonzero value (provided that the object itself is reflecting).
