Importing 3xf Files

You can import 3DEXCITE DELTAGEN .3xf files.

They contain examples of different material types that you can use as a base to create your own materials.

For detailed information, see Converter for DELTAGEN User's Guide.

Before you begin: You can customize options when importing .3xf files. See 3XF.
  1. From the top bar, select Add > Import.
  2. In the Format list, select 3DEXCITE_DELTAGEN_Scene (*.3xf).

For more information about the Import command, see Exchange Management User's Guide: Import.

  3. Click OK.
    • Structure and geometry are imported as a new physical product. Only polygons are supported.
    • When importing a scene with materials, the IDs are being verified:
      • For new IDs (new created Materials in DELTAGEN), new materials are being created inside the material library.
      • For existing IDs (material that has already been imported), the existing materials are used. This means that when changing an existing material in DELTAGEN and importing again, the changes do not overwrite the existing material.
    • Only textures that exist during the upload can be loaded.
