You can create a linear pattern by duplicating a shape.
Patterns are recognized as such. All elements in a pattern are
identical. You can edit both the pattern itself and its geometry. If a pattern
cannot be created, multiple copies of the selected geometry or shape, for
example a face, are made.
Select the element that you want to pattern and click
Linear Pattern.
Three rectangular shapes located at an equal distance from
each other are created.
The Selection panel lets you:
Define the number of instances
Define the spacing between the pattern
elements. Note that you can also use the manipulators to define the spacing.
