About Snap Features

Snap features, based on geometric relationships, help you draw more accurately by anticipating your next move and providing visual feedback. When visual cues are not always what you want or expect, you can encourage snapping.

About the Support Plane

As you draw, snap causes drawing tools to automatically align to existing points including midpoints, lines or edges, and circles so that you can align new entities with precision.

You can also indicate to drawing tools that you want to base your next move on an existing line, point, circle or arc. To make the tool snap to one of these entities, pause for a few seconds over the entity.
