What use cases do not support variable-radius fillets?
  1. In the work area, select the edge or edges, or the face to fillet and click Fillet .
Tip: To fillet all edges of the selected face, click Fillet Edit > Perimeter Fillet . By default, a constant-radius fillet with G1 continuity is created. The first time you create a fillet, the radius depends on the industrial context, and thereafter, the value you specify becomes the default value.

  2. To adjust the fillet size, drag one of the manipulators.
  3. To edit fillet specifications, click one of the handles or the curve, and in the callout, select one or more options:
    OptionDescription
    Constant
Creates a fillet that has a constant radius or chordal length.
    Variable
Creates a fillet with multiple radii values or chordal lengths. Specify the radius or chordal length at both ends of the fillet.

    Chordal Length
Select this option to specify a chordal length.
The chordal length is the distance between the two sides of the fillet.
If you combine chordal and G2 fillets, the chordal length is used and tangency between adjacent faces is optimized.
This option is cleared by default letting you specify a fillet radius.
    Remove Fillet Property
Removes the property from constant radius fillets having tangent continuity with the selected item so that they are no longer recognized as such. You can select more than one fillet. You cannot remove corner fillets, that is, fillets tangent to three fillets.
    Erase Fillet
    Deletes the selected fillet.
    Extend to Entire Chain
Extends your selection to all fillets with the same radius in a chain.
    Extend to First Branch
Extends your selection to fillets with the same radius in a chain, stopping at the first branch encountered.
    Extend to Same Radius
Extends your selection to all fillets with the same radius in the Natural Shape feature.
Extend to Same or Smaller Radius
Extends your selection to all fillets with the same or a smaller radius in the Natural Shape feature.
