Offsetting Boundary Curves

The Boundary Parallel Curve command copies boundary curves offsetting them at a constant distance from the original curves. If the offset curves lie on the face, the face is split. If the offset curves lie beyond the face, a face is added.

Important: Boundary Parallel Curve works on planar faces only.
The following features can be offset:
  • face of solid or skin or
  • edge of skin or wire

Multiple selection of more than one face is not available.

  2. To define the offset distance, do either of the following:
    • Drag the manipulator toward the center or away from the original face.
    • To set a precise offset distance, click the value and type in the callout, then press Enter.
