Drafting While Extruding

You can create a draft while extruding a simple face or the face of an existing shape. You can apply a draft to solid or surface shapes. Drafting tapers faces using a specified draft angle.

  1. Select a face to extrude.

    The selected face is used as the neutral plane.

    You can multi-select faces.

  2. On the context toolbar, click Robot .
  3. Click Extrude .
  4. In the Draft Angle callout, enter a value.
  5. To set the height, drag an axis of the Robot.

    Note: To specify a precise value, click the value and enter a new one.

The type of shape you obtain (surface or solid) depends on the type of face (surface or solid) you selected.
